“We are committed to providing the most comprehensive support to all Hancock County students enrolled at the University of Maine System and Eastern Maine Community College.”
Kimberly wears many different hats at our Center. Kim helps to problem solve technology issues, trains student workers, creates and maintains the room schedules. Kim also creates the Center’s newsletter, a running power point in the front lobby, and updates the Center’s website. Above all else, Kim loves to create a welcoming, safe, and fun environment for the students and staff at the UC Ellsworth. Kim recently graduated from UMA with her Associates degree in Liberal Studies and plans to work towards her Bachelors degree in Liberal Studies with a minor in Psychology and Business Administration.
Terry handles administrative work for the Ellsworth Center. She takes care of tests, and assists students through phone calls and in person. Terry maintains the Downeast Senior College registrations, ordering, annual memberships, and anything else needed by their members. During her 13+ years at the Center, Eastern Maine Community College was added as one of the communities of students that are served in Ellsworth. Terry returned to school when she had three young children, so she knows the needs of much of the student population.
Student Services Coordinator
Ann believes in the transformative power of education for students, their families, and the community. She acts as a guide for students on their educational journey from pre-admission to graduation and beyond. Ann serves as a resource when students have questions about admissions, financial aid, learning support services, accommodations, course selection, registration, program requirements, transfer between institutions, and career exploration. Ann majored in English and minored in Classical Studies, and she can relate to the challenges of balancing work, school, and other responsibilities as she pursues her graduate degree from USM’s Adult and Higher Education program.
