Our staff offers personalized support to each and every student.
Renee Heal offers support and guidance as students go through the admission and registration processes, and she helps them with all the necessary steps to ensure they are successful! Renee is responsible for all academic logistics to support ITV and videoconference courses, including making sure students in the ITV and VC classrooms have their scheduled examination materials ready. She processes all completed exams to be returned to instructors. Helping to train & supervise the work-study staff in good customer service skills is another one of her tasks. She enjoys taking photographs at the Center, helps to keep the Facebook page current, and assists the Director with the weekly publication of the Center’s newsletter.
Paula Schuessler joined the administrative team in early September, 2016. She provides support to students for admission and registration, assists with training and supervising the work-study office staff, and provides support to faculty and technology systems. Paula’s duties include updating the college’s website, providing administrative and operational support for the Coastal Senior College Program, and coordinating with the Director in administering and processing various scholarship awards. As the newest member of the Rockland office staff, Paula looks forward to getting to know the students and helping them achieve success in their educational pursuits.
Administrative Support Supervisor
Althea Simeone has worked for the University System for 25 years. She schedules and supervises the front office staff along with work study students and volunteers. She schedules room use and oversees ordering and accounts payables for both the Center and Coastal Senior College. Althea also assists students with admission processes, registrations, payments and financial questions. She communicates with campus’ staff and faculty, and handles many administrative tasks at the Center. Althea also works with area high school students and Guidance Departments to support dual enrollment.
Student Services Coordinator
Deborah Meehan believes in the importance of creating a dynamic learning community at URock to support student and faculty success. She provides administrative leadership to the Rockland team and also serves as an academic advisor to current and prospective students. Deb supports students in achieving educational, career and personal goals and enjoys watching them grow and change as a result of their college experiences. Deb also oversees community outreach and promotes partnerships with local business, industry, and nonprofit organizations. Deb has a BA In Liberal Arts from Colgate University and earned her Master of Science degree in Adult and Higher Education from the University of Southern Maine.
