Ready to enroll in a course or degree program?

Admission: Apply for admission by filling out the application for the campus of your choice and submitting your $40 application fee. Remember, if you are planning to apply for financial aid, it is necessary to have admissions complete before any financial aid is applied to your account.

Transfer: The campuses in the University of Maine System want to make it easy for graduates from one of Maine’s community colleges to move their degrees into a bachelor degree program. For assistance, please meet with one of our advisors.

Immunization Information & Form: Part of the admissions process is to submit a completed immunization form with doctor’s signature to the Rumford/Mexico Center or file a waiver form.

Placement Test: This test involves a computerized exam which takes approximately 2 hours to complete. A student is tested on Math, Reading, and Writing skills. This must be taken as a part of the admissions part in order to place you into the appropriate level of courses.

Advising: During the admissions process, it is a good idea to set up an appointment to meet with an advisor who will help you set your goals and choose the most efficient way to acquire these goals.  Advising is available at any point in your academic career when you feel you need help or guidance in meeting these goals.  It is a good idea to seek an advisor’s help when choosing courses each semester. In Rumford, you may contact us by phone at 364-7882 to schedule an appointment.  Drop-ins are always welcome.

New Student Orientation:  Call University College at Rumford/Mexico to sign up for a new student orientation at 364-7882.  New Student Orientations occur during the week prior to the beginning of each semester, and the dates and times will be posted on this website.  In between pizzas and tours, you will learn how papers and exams are handled here, meet each staff member who works here to help you, listen to experienced students talk about their college experience, get your library card, and make sure you are ready for the technologies you will be using here.  Call 364-7882 to RSVP.

High School Aspirations: Qualified Maine high school juniors and seniors can get a jump-start on their college education through tuition waivers.
