Western Maine Scholarship

Are you a University College student in western Maine?

Your community cares about investing in you.

The Western Maine Scholarship Fund was established at the University of Maine at Augusta in 2016 with a gift from the Betterment Fund and Maine West, a partnership of local and regional organizations dedicated to addressing systemic rural challenges and enhancing community well-being in Western Maine. Thanks to that gift, two $1250 scholarships will be awarded each Fall and Spring that the fund is available.

To qualify you must:

-Be a student at University College Rumford

or

-Be a student at University College South Paris

-Have a minimum GPA of 3.0

-Have a minimum of 24 credits

Enter your qualifier answers, and your answer to the essay question.

Fall applications must be submitted by August 15th.

Spring applications must be submitted by December 1st.

Selection of the recipients shall be made by the Director of University College at South Paris/Rumford and the Assistant Director of University College at Rumford.  Students may not apply for the scholarship, if awarded, more than once per academic year.
