With an AA in Criminal Justice from the University of Maine at Fort Kent, careers in law enforcement at the federal, state, regional and local levels are within reach. The two-year program is designed to develop intellectual curiosity, analytical skills and academic scholarship and to prepare students for professional employment opportunities in the criminal justice field. The degree may also serve as an in-service program for current law enforcement. Most of the courses are taught by highly trained and educated professionals including a Maine State Police Lieutenant, Police Chief, Forensics Specialist, Emergency Management Director, Police Officer, and a former prosecutor.
